Violence is more likely to occur on Black Friday due to the constant infiltration of the media on society, boasting hard to beat deals on products most people could live without. Obviously, when a price is dramatically slashed on usually expensive items, this causes interest and excitement. I feel the main factors are not only the attempt to get the most for your money, but the fact that this date only comes once a year, and most camp outside department stores for days on end awaiting the arrival of Black Friday. Violence occurs because there are so many people all scampering for one product, and this leads to confusion, as tensions run high to get to the product before another.

People want to get the best deals and may become aggressive.
