Why does the doctrine of stare decisis not bind supreme courts?

    The doctrine stare decisis do not bind supreme courts because supreme courts operate above the other courts. Case laws are produced from the lower courts and in the supreme courts. Appeals to the decision of the judge is brought supreme court if and only if the supreme court finds reason to reevaluate the case.
