Which part of the story represents the resolution, or conclusion?

1. three little pigs build their houses: one out of hay, one out sticks, and one out of bricks.

2. the wolf visits the houses of the first and second pig and blows them down.

3. the wolf visits the brick house of the third pig and cannot blow it down.

4. the wolf climbs to the roof of the brick house to climb down the chimney.

5. the little pig places a boiling water pot in the fireplace.

6. the wolf falls down the chimney into the boiling water.

    The correct answer is 6. The resolution of the story occurs when the wolf falls down the chimney into the boiling water.

    The resolution of a story is the end of the story. All of the problems have been resolved. The only possible answer that sees an end to the problem (the wolf) is when the wolf falls into the boiling water. With the wolf out of the way, the story is over.
