When Washington became a state, who required that a constitution be drafted? the US President the US Congress the Supreme Court of the United States the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

    The answer is "The U. S Congress". When Washington became a state it was congress that required that the state draft a constitution along with other requirements. North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana were also required to draft a constitution before receiving statehood. Washington's constitution was approved on November 11th, 1889 and received its statehood.
