The correct answer is C. The purpose of an argument is to determine the degree of truth of another statement which is the conclusion. The objective of an explanation is describe facts. Statement C's use of the words evidence and fact suggests that reasons are given to support the statement. The other statements simply describe events and facts, with no support for the claims mentioned.
