Urania is the Muse of astronomy and poetry.

In Greek mythology, Urania is one of the Nine Muses. She is considered the muse of astronomy and astronomical writings. As regards her family, Urania is Zeus and Mnemosyne's daughter. Her sisters are the other eight Muses, who are known as Calliope, Clio, Euterpe, Erato, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore and Thalia. Urania is believed to be the eldest of the Nine Muses and she is generally represented with a celestial globe.
