texts realistic possibilities for the future? Why or why not?

Not because of the world war 3 or nuclear holocaust or global warming or zombie apocalypse or alien invasion or robot warfare, - did I miss anything?

It's simply because of the routine socio-economic trends with a 21st century twist.

You see every time there is a large wealth inequality, a revolution happens. When people on the lower rungs are given too little and people on the higher rungs are given way too much, something restores balance either violently or peacefully.
