Why might an author use logos to persuade readers?

    Because logos, which is logic based, works extremely well with readers of academia. (Reasearch papers, scientific books, etc.) Especially if appealing to logical minds.

    The author might use logos to persuade readers because it will tap into the logic of the reader to then strengthen their argument.
