is our cat

At bedtime I told my mother, "You should have seen the way Helen acted at school. It was disgusting, flirting with the boys."

    b. Helen's flirtatiousness and attention to boys was just like Helen of Troy

    Explanation:

Vita's mother believes that Helen's flirtatiousness was just like that of Helen of Troy.

It may have not been a coincidence that Helen actually bears the name of Helen of Troy and acts in a flirtatious way like Helen of Troy.

From the story of Troy, Helen of Troy was the wife of King Menelaus of Sparta who took her with him to Troy and eventually eloped with Prince Paris of Troy. She was said to be one of the most beautiful women of that time. Her actions brought war between Sparta and Troy in which many lost their lives.

And from the excerpt above, Helen was reported to be flirting outrageously with the boys at school, so Vita's mother was comparing both Helens.
