    Explanation:

    Our speaker feels guilty about eating the plums, and straight up asks for forgiveness. Or rather, he commands it, using the imperative mood. He is reflecting on his earlier actions of eating the plums though they belonged to someone else and this is his way of apologizing instead of asking permission first.
