Explain how you know 6/6 and 1 are equivalent

    You will know that 6/6 is equivalent to 1 by dividing 6 by 6

    6/6 can be simplified to 1. If you think of a pie divided into 6 pieces with none taken out, it's still one pie. If you did take a piece out of it, it would no longer be whole. it would be 5/6. 6/6, however, means that no pieces have been taken.
