This happens to be one of my favorite short stories of all times. The narrator descends into madness after her physician husband, John, doesn't listen to her, and diagnoses her with "female hysteria."

However, the interpretation of the short story is so open for the imagination that you can read countless views from other readers.

But most certainly, the narrator descends slowly into madness, until she is found creeping along the floorboards and walls around her bedroom.

    Awesome author and story.
