Lyddie focuses on working hard and being focused to remove the problems and poverty of her family and does not focus on anything else apart from that.

    Explanation:

In the chapter Lyddie, Lyddie is the main character around whom the whole chapter revolves. This chapter talks about how strong and hard working she is who is determined to remove the poverty of her family and work hard to get her farm back.

She feels loved and obligated to work for her family who are under great and huge debt which shows they are poverty stricken and wants to solve their problems and troubles in life.
