Jobs says that getting fired from his own company at age 30 was the best thing to happen to him. Why?

Jobs had an extremely successful career in a field he was passionate about. However, he has often claimed that the way to get there was not straight-forward, and was in fact full of surprises. One of these surprises was getting fired from his own company at age 30. He argues that this is the best thing that happened to him, because being successful was becoming like a heaviness inside of him. Being a beginner again made him feel light, and it freed him to try new things and enter the most creative period of his life.

He says, "The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life".
