I went for a walk
On the very cold dock
With the sun setting
I was getting
ready to roam
back to my home

Happy was my vocabulary
now it exists as a myth
an accent of a life once lived
no power brings it back
we sit in silence
deep in depression
a rock slowing sinking
deeper and deeper
empty hellos and sad goodbyes
bad breakups and tired hearts
a reality of a lonely soul
attempts to pull oneself out
just pushes them deeper
like quick sand
With no possibilities of escape
of hope
of love and freedom
we drift aimlessly over an empty white sheet of paper
hopeless, escape-less. loveless, freedom-less
Our future
Our Destiny
No longer in our hands
but in theirs
we know who they are
but they can not see themselves for what they are
a journey to discover
