Why is it important to learn about Newton's view of gravity?

Because Newton's perspective of gravity is the most important and significant. He came up with the idea of gravity and he was the one to discover and research it. He made the laws of motion and he viewed the earth in an interesting way.

Newton proved that the same laws that govern motion on Earth also work in the heavens-what we now call "space" or "the cosmos" ... Newton showed that the same laws that applied to an apple falling from a tree could explain the motion of the moon and planets.
