    The values we share are freedom from tyranny, we were one of the first countries to have elections for presidents

    The Puritan emphasis on education was what led to an American school system in which everyone is been taught how to read, write, and how to do arithmetic which is why many Americans have adopted the Puritan ethics of honesty as well as responsibility, hard work, and self-control.
