How was the romantic era a response to rationalism and the industrial revolution

    Industrialization provided momentum to Romanticism; the romantics drove a movement against the Industrial revolution, they were worried about people moving away from nature and being unhappy, so they promoted values such as love, childhood, individualism and exalted familial values and nature itself.
