Hello. You forgot to mention that this question is about the graphic novel "Maus".

    Answer:

I would act the same as they did, if I were in the same situation. This is because this is a situation that leaves us with no options, afraid and discouraged to fight.

    Explanation:

"Maus" is a graphical novel that tells the story of the author's father during, before and after the holocaust. it is a true account of how Nazi Germany oppressed and tried to exterminate the Jews during the Second World War.

Vladek and Anja are the author's parents. They were Jews and lived a life of luxury in a spacious house. However, in chapter 4 we learn that all Jews were forced to leave their homes and go to live in the ghetto, in tight shacks and without any quality, that is, the Jews lost the right to their homes and all the wealth and comfort that possessed in it.

In this case, Vladek and Anja, who were used to luxury and comfort, had a major change in their lives and now lived in total discomfort and in the midst of poverty, violence and misery. Of course, they did not want this to happen, but they were Jewish, they were afraid and had no power to fight the Nazi system that was being established, so they just accepted this unfair change and tried to live as best as possible.

If I were in their place, I would not have acted differently, since this is a crippling situation, where fear ends up making us act according to what is imposed.
