    In Act IV of "A Midsummer Night's Dream", a magic spell makes the lovers fall in love with different people.

    "Are you sure

    That we are awake? It seems to me

    That yet we sleep, we dream."

    Dramatic irony is when the audience knows something that the characters do not. When the lovers wake up, they believe it was all a dream. However, the audience knows everything really happened.
