Reading and meditating on the accomplishments and mistakes of others in the past allows us to refine our own lives and attitudes. For example, Franklin Delano Roosevelt set a fine example for us never to give up on our goal even when faced with severe trials and roadblocks. There are even examples in the BIBLE that we can dwell on. Overall, history is important, and is the foundation we build our community, our country, and our world on.
