    A counterclaim is the opposing argument to a claim that has been given. It is a process in which you try to convince a person or a group of a different position. To be able to do this you have to be objective, this means you have to back your argument up with logic and it is important that your information is unbiased, since biased information will cause confusion as to which is your intention.

    You also have to repect the other side's argument, even if it is wrong since what you want is to present a correct alternative, not to be rude to anyone for being wrong.

    It is also fundamental that you pay attention to your audience since their understanding of your argument is your objective, it is very important that you take the time to explain or adapt your argument to their context in order to achieve this.
