How do the experiences of men with gender inequality compare to women?

In America, women have always had setbacks with gender inequality when compared to men. On average, for every dollar a man earns, a woman earns just 79 cents. 85 percent of mayors in America are also men, and in New York City, the place known for diversity, it's never had a woman mayor or even a person of color. Hair salons for women too, are like 40 dollars more expensive than men's, so even with this basic casual example, you have to admit it's pretty ridiculous.
