The very first time I left my home for more than one night was in 2002. I was five years old and I was eager to spend a weekend camping in my summer camp.

It's my first time writing in this journal, I don't know how to do these things. I'm happy, nervous and worried at the same time. I love my friends, I love playing sports, I love swimming, I love nature, but I'm afraid of missing my parents. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to spend a whole weekend camping with my friends. We are going to do a campfire, eat sausages, play games, go on adventures. It's going to be so much fun! Despite all the fun, I am going to miss waking up next to my mum's bed and having breakfast together. I am going to miss the walks to the woods after lunch with my dad. I'm going to miss my dog Bongo, who is going to take care of him better than I do? I know I'm exaggerating a bit and it's only three days, but I've never been outside my home for so long.
