The story talks about three boys Ralph, Piggy and Jack who are contesting for a boys election. Ralph is a charismatic boy with athletic qualities, on the other hand Piggy is a fat boy with a great understanding of the Adult world and Jack display an aggressive and barbaric nature

    Explanation:

Piggy was a fat guy who wore specs but would have been a good leader because he was very mature and was well organized and innovative, he also displayed the true knowledge on the outside world. If the boys had chosen Piggy as their leader they would have survived but instead they cracked jokes on Piggy because oh looks and health problem (i. e Asthma)

On the other hand Jack displays an aggressive and barbaric in nature and he seeks constant approval form the other boys. He also hates Ralph and his personality. The boys show immediate acceptance to both Ralph and jack due to their Personality

This fact suggest that human beings have very limited vision and are sometimes self destructive also rather than humiliating piggy the boys would have gained a lot from Piggys knowledge BUT due to their limited vision they chose Jack and Ralph
