    18

    Explanation:

Countries have different voting age as defined by their constitutions. In my opinion, minimum voting age should be set at 18. In most countries, any person under the age of 18 is still considered a minor. Being a minor is not wrong neither is voting as a minor. However, voting should be allowed for only persons that are adults. The reason is, when a person votes, he/she is determining the person that is going to be responsible for making decisions that affect the future of such person and the whole country. And such type of decisions should not be taken anyhow. Countries with a lot of bad leaders are paying for it dearly. This is why a minor should not be allowed to vote. Its not that it is wrong, however, even though the adults can be bribed, the minors can also be bribed or intimidated. In my experience, voting as an adults means that I am careful to make my vote count. This means, research is carried out for every candidate in the election. After which, articles, news and interviews will also play a part in determining if I get to give the any candidate my vote. By doing some of these things, I am weighing the pros and cons of each candidates. Something that a minor may not be able to do. Countries like Iran, Luxembourg, Nigeria, USA uses 18 as their voting age. According to the election body in Nigeria (INEC: Independent National Electoral Commission), the minimum voting age is 18. And also according to the Twenty-sixth Amendment (Amendment XXVI) to the United States Constitution, age should not be used to deny anybody from voting once the person is 18 years of age.
