Explanation:

Salva was moving with the crowd of people without his family members. He was pretty sure that his uncle died because the men murdered his uncle righr before Salva's eye. Marial and his uncle were not next to him and Salva himself knew that they would never be seen again. His uncle shared the food with everyone around him, but things changed Salva had to beg people for food.
