Why do you think that Douglas family does not agree or support the his decision to be Phyllis caretaker

    Because they would be able to care for her 24 hours a day and be able to provide her the necessary care needed for her illness and he couldn’t be there as much to watch over her or have the experience n eeded to care for her.
