For the Cornell notes, you should split the paper into two columns with the right column (called note-taking column) being larger. In it you would paraphrase what your teacher is saying, trying to condense it using abbreviations and symbols.
The second column, the left one (called key word column) includes all the key words or raised questions.
Soon after the class, you should revise what you wrote down and write a short paragraph based on your understanding of the notes and the class.
