The part that mostly explains is when the man begins battling nature in order to survive. Even though he initially thought that he is greater than nature and that he won't have any issues with the cold weather, he eventually loses the struggle. This is the naturalist perspective as it shows how much people are inferior to nature and how much nature is indifferent to people.
