What was the real name of the author we have come to know as george orwell? why did he adopt a pseudonym?

    George Orwells' real name was Eric Arthur Blair, and he wrote under the pseudonym because it was a way to establish a new life and besides, 'Orwell' is more memorable to people that 'Blair.'
