When weaving quotes into you literary analysis, make sure they fit grammatically with your own sentence with your own sentence structure (such as a verb tense).

if needed you can make a change in the quote (that does not change meaning) and

a. indicate it with brackets - E. g.: We see this when "the two men [pray] the other will be honored.

b. indicate it with parentheses-E. g.: We see this when "the two men (pray) the other will be honored.

    It would be, because you have to quote them with paranthesis
