"Dad has a secret fishing spot"; this is the independent clause of the sentence - it makes sense of its own. This is separated from the subordinate clause"he catches the most fish" by the subordinate conjunction, "where". While the subordinate conjunction allows for more importance to be placed on the dependant clause, the main idea of fishing remains in the independent clause.
