When writing a research report everybody needs to consider the following aspects in order this very report became successful:

- the audience should know about the topic, because if the problem described is unknown or not interesting for the listeners, the report looses its relevance;

- what the purpose of your report is; if the author doesn't set a purpose of his writing the report may become just a set of words.

- where you can locate the information you need to support your thesis statement. If the author wants to convey his idea to the audience correctly, he should use arguments for and against to support thesis statement.
