Robert Frost used a lot of writings in free verse. He avoids traditional verse forms and instead uses rhyme erratically. His works hold a unique and isolated position in American literature. James M. Cox even said that his work can’t be classified in traditional poetry neither in the tradition of modern poetry. His style is not an innovative way but is described as something creative. He was able to develop his own modern idiom that had a sense of directness and imagism in his readers up to present.
