Within the rising action of act 2 in Diary of Anne frank the play mr. Kraler tells the story about Carl, a man from Utrecht. Why does Carl's behavior make Mr. Kraker nervous?

    Because Carl might know about everyone that lives in the annex. He remembers there being a doorway they put the book case. And if they refuse to give him money or anything, he could tell everyone that there might be someone living there. Mr. Kraler does not know that for sure but he does not want to take a chance.
