I think it's B: He asks the priest to instruct him on the best way to impress the elder in the village because he wants to resolve a matter not have a fight with the villagers. I think he must feel confused about having to hear such language her has never heard of before. Sometimes people don't understand what others are trying to say because they speak a different language than the language they are hearing from people her has never met and maybe he belongs to a different country who talks in English or Arabic or even Japanese and Korean. Even though this question didn't ask for this but i just want to include this in here cause just by reading this question you can find a moral or lesson. I think the lesson is that if you don't understand a language you shouldn't make fun of the language they speak because it's really ride to be doing that.
