Saffarzadeh’s feel she must make confession in birthplace because, she says the first place I visit is my birthplace and I’ll peel from the wall that ashamed look of my mother because, she remembers all the things that happened to her she says I have no urge to clench and strike and bawling drunk isn’t my language and I take no pride in killing and male supremacy never fattened me at its table. She is talking about what happened to her and that is her confession. The tone in this excerpt is different from the beginning of the poem it’s talking about what she went through by saying she wouldn’t do any of this nor does she want to. And if you’re not reading the passage carefully you could be confused by what is going on and what does she mean. But, reading the passage carefully you might feel sad that this happened to her.
