In Macbeth, why was the original Thane of cawdor executed?

A. He cheated on his wife.

B. He committed treason against King Duncan and Scotland.

D. He refused to go into battle because he was a coward.

    The answer is B; he committed treason against king Duncan. In the very beginning of Macbeth we are showed a battle. It shows that the original Thane was trying to kill Duncan and was fighting with the other army. Therefore, the Thane was executed
