What Does This Mean? "What story, anecdote, scene captures the person?"

Anecdote is like a section or a short phrase or snippet of something. So which snippet of a scene captures the persons characteristics or how the reader looks at the person. I know this because we already did a unit in anecdotes and I got a 95 on my test.
