How does the author develop the mood in the story? Cite specific lines to support your response.

    Not sure which story you are referring to, but in all stories, the Author can describe the scenery using bleak and dark details to infer the scene will be a dark mood. The Author wouldn't say "It's a bright beautiful day, Sun shinning brightly ... Ect ... " and then something bad happen. That is the Authors power of shaping how we view the situation.
