I have to write a sentence and i don't get if you add a s to a word or not. Here's the sentence: The pleasant fragrance of gardenias and lilies flows to my nose.

Do I write flows or flow?

    I think it's flow, it sounds more correct. If you're not sure a thesaurus could five you a synonym to use.

    When you change a verb to fit the subject, that's called conjugation.

    I am, you are, he is, they are ...

    With most verbs, it goes like this.

    I flow, you flow, he/she/it flows, we flow, they flow.

    Though gardenias and lilies is plural, the fragrance is just one thing.

    It would be flows, not flow.
