Identify the characteristic of transcendentalist author Ralph Waldo Emerson's style evident in this excerpt from Nature.

I think, if we should be rapt away into all that we dream of heaven, and should converse with Gabriel and Uriel, the upper sky would be all that would remain of our furniture.

    Being a transcendentalist, one must have a belief system that espouses a non-traditional appreciation of nature. Transcendentalism suggests that the divine, or God, suffuses nature, and suggests that reality can be understood by studying nature.

    In the above question, Ralph Waldo Emerson mentioned Gabriel and Uriel. They are known as guardian angels or the soldiers of God. If we can only converse or communicate with them, then there is no need for us to look for anything beyond them that will answer or fulfill our dreams about heaven.
