The correct answer is Hubris. Hubris is something like extreme pride or being too self confident. This is what caused the end of Antigone, but it is also common in all literatures worldwide, famous example being Beowulf in the British literary canon who died in the end because of his hubris when he was supposed to fight the dragon.
