In the book 1984 what is the 2 minutes of hate?

In 1984, Two Minutes of Hate was a daily occurence in which members of the Party would gather around to watch videos of the Party's "enemies," such as Goldstein, and scream at them. The purpose behind this ritual was to channel the Party members' rage out towards their supposed enemies, thus redirecting their hatred from Big Brother and the Party into another outlet.
