    It might be said that Petrarch used metaphors to portrayed love. his sonnets were dedicate to Laura, who seems to be an imaginary figure under the name of Laurel. he played with the characters and he played to be a beloved. He interacted with the characters was based on the view he had of her. However, her loved for her might be considered invented.
