4. What lesson (s) do you think Robert Walton has learned from listening to Victor's story and watching him die? (What did Victor tell him to learn from it?)

Some questions should not be answered, even if you can answer them. Do not seek to harm yourself. Robert Walton had seen what this did to Victor. Victor asked him what he would do with the knowledge of how Victor animated the creature. Victor worried that Walton would ruin himself. Perhaps in turning back his ship at the end of the story, he was exercising this knowledge that sometimes the undiscovered should remain undiscovered.
