Derek is thinking of a number. When he rounds his number to the nearest 10, he gets 580. When he rounds his number to the nearest 100, could he get 500? Why or why not?

    No, because if you can round it to 580 the number must be 575-584 and that will round to 600

    No, because to be rounded to 10 it has to be at least 575 which would have to be rounded to 600
