The life of the immigrants were very hard in the united states. they came here mostly with nothing but a few bucks in there pocket not to mention most of them did not have any family members in the united states or around the place where they were staying. When they came here they were working like slaves to have a better life and have food and shelter.

It was horrible, very hard, and exhausting. Immigrants had to work long hours for little pay and had to be able to keep enough money and a stable foundation for their family.
