    Basically, the main difference is their purpose.

    Persuasive writing is when a writer uses words to convince the reader that the writer's opinion is correct in regards to an issue. They want the reader to agree with them.

    And then informational writing is a type of writing that gives information about something, which means it is factual. You can't find a single opinion in it. Many examples of informational writing can be found in newspapers, almanacs, and reference books.
